This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have been a teacher assistant at Head Start for two years (and have been in the early childhood field for more than four). This year I have the exciting opportunity to have my own classroom in our Reggio-inspired program, but will be needing some important necessities before the school year begins.

Circle cushions will provide each child with a comfortable, and personal space to sit, helping them feel grounded, comfortable, and included.

For many of our students, this is their very first classroom experience. Therefore, designated cushion offers more than just a place to sit—they also offer a sense of ownership, security, and routine in an otherwise busy day.

By supporting this project, you will help us create a warm and welcoming environment to build our classroom community.
