This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Thank you for viewing our project! I teach 1st grade students. We have a small 6 x 6 carpet that we have quickly outgrown. We can fit 16 students on the rug, sitting very closely together, and other students have to sit on the ground behind the carpet.

My goal for this project is to make sure that every student is included in our rug time, which will make our every days lives on the carpet go smoother and allow us to focus on our learning.

Getting a classroom rug that accommodates every student, will make a difference in their learning by getting rid of that anxiety of figuring out how to fit on the carpet, and be able to just focus on their learning instead.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
