My Students

Miss DeMarco's Life Skills class, along with other Life Skills classes in the K-5 school building, are ready to become baristas!

The students in my classroom are all so unique, have an important purpose, and are very easy to love.

Although they are different, they each have something to bring to the table. Whether it be social skills, identifying numbers, a big smile, or common knowledge, these students will be able to work as a team to support their school.

My Project

Special education students oftentimes lack the skills to interact with their peers and often their school building as a whole. With implementing a school coffee cart, inclusive practices will be magnified, the students will learn important life skills, and the families in the community will be given the profit with this student-led endeavor.

During the school week, students will practice social skills, manners, and instructions on how to serve coffee with general order.

Then, on Friday, the students with my assistance will fill and deliver coffee orders to the teachers in the building. Any donations that are made will help families in the district by way of a grocery store gift card.
