Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Connection is one of the most important aspects of healthy humans. As an AVID program, we would like our high school students to be connected with our middle school students so that they can see what they have to look forward to when they come to high school. One of the ways we want to do this this year is to have both of these groups come together and decorate mugs, play games, and share a meal together. This will promote relationships and college going culture between the different levels.
The whole purpose of AVID is to help students who are driven to success reach their goals.
This connection between middle and high school students will motivate the middle schoolers to continue with the program and continue to grow as students.
