My Project

My students are extremely grateful for academic and educational exposure. This is important as it sustains growth. We provide opportunities and challenges for which they rise to the expectations.

The intent of this project is to present a remarkable Celebration of Black Heritage in America throughout the month of February.

The banners and posters will be hung around the school for students to view in passing. Students will engage in writing and artistic projects that will be presented in a Black history program as a culmination of the Black Heritage Celebration. Hopefully, this will instill a sense of pride and integrity.

Celebrating cultural heritage is especially important to minorities who have been systemically marginalized. This celebration will be a reminder that America's journey is replete with remarkable accomplishments and contributions of African Americans.
