Because of your generosity, my students are now able to rehearse and perform in brand-new choir robes, and the impact has been immediate. We use them during rehearsals for performance preparation and at every concert to help students fully step into their roles as performers. One moment that stood out was when my choir put the robes on for the first time before rehearsal—students who were once shy began standing taller, projecting more, and truly embracing the experience of being part of an ensemble.\r\n\r\nWhen they first saw the robes, their reactions were priceless—excitement, pride, and even a sense of professionalism filled the room. For many of my students, this was their first time feeling like they were part of something truly special and polished. It created a sense of unity and belonging that has carried over into how they support one another musically and personally.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, we are continuing to build on that confidence through more challenging repertoire and performance opportunities. We are currently preparing music that requires stronger vocal independence and expressive performance, and the students are rising to the occasion with a new level of commitment. Your support has not only provided a resource but has also inspired growth, pride, and a deeper love for music in my classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1774615194714,"projectUrl":"project/robe-the-rams/10102351/","projectTitle":"Robe the Rams","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Patrick","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8704821_orig.jpg?crop=1080,1080,x816,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1722474465127","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8704821"},{"teacherId":9782700,"projectId":9860778,"letterContent":"Because of your generosity, my students will have their own copy of the novel. These headphones have allowed my students to focus better, work more independently, and fully participate in technology-based lessons.\r\n\r\nThe headphones are helping students learn by giving them the opportunity to clearly hear directions, instructional videos, and online lessons without distractions from the classroom around them. During math and reading activities, students are able to listen carefully to lessons, replay directions when needed, and work at their own pace. This is especially important when students are using programs that provide immediate feedback and individualized instruction. Instead of missing information because of background noise, students can stay engaged and confident in their learning.\r\n\r\nWhat has been most exciting to the students is having their own set of headphones to use during lessons. They feel more independent and responsible, and they love being able to listen to activities and videos clearly. The headphones make computer-based lessons feel more special and enjoyable. My students are excited each time we use them, and they often ask if we can use them again during future activities.\r\n\r\nSeveral students have especially benefited from the headphones. Some of my shy students have become more confident because they can listen and learn quietly without worrying about what others are doing. Students who struggle to focus are staying on task longer because the headphones reduce distractions. In particular, my transfer students and students who did not previously have access to headphones have quickly warmed to this new technology. They are now more engaged, able to complete assignments independently, and more willing to participate in digital lessons.\r\n\r\nThe headphones have given my students more than just better sound—they have given them confidence, focus, and equal access to learning opportunities. With access to digital scores and rehearsal tracks, students are able to isolate their individual voice parts, loop difficult measures, and slow down challenging passages. This has significantly reduced the amount of time it takes for students to learn new repertoire, allowing them to come to full ensemble rehearsals better prepared and more confident.\r\n\r\nBecause students can practice independently and at their own pace, our full rehearsals are now more focused on musicality rather than basic note and rhythm correction. We are able to spend more time developing tone quality, blend, phrasing, and expressive performance. The tablets have also allowed for differentiated instruction, ensuring that every student—regardless of ability level—has the support needed to succeed.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, this technology empowers students to take ownership of their learning. They feel more accountable, engaged, and confident in their abilities. The result is not only faster repertoire mastery, but a stronger, more unified ensemble committed to excellence.","fullyFundedDate":1760693575623,"projectUrl":"project/practice-makes-progress/9717515/","projectTitle":"Practice Makes Progress","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Patrick","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8704821_orig.jpg?crop=1080,1080,x816,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1722474465127","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8704821"},{"teacherId":9417064,"projectId":9503699,"letterContent":"Thank you for making our classroom project, \"Plug In, Power Up, Learn On,\" a reality. These resources have been especially helpful for cadets who might otherwise go without a snack during our activities, helping to ensure they remain engaged and motivated. One particular classroom moment stands out: we had a leadership exercise where cadets had to work together to build a strategy for a community service project.
