This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My scholars are dream chasers! They are on the path to achieving the most ambitious dreams. Many of my scholars are pursuing four year universities in the hope to help their families and make their dreams a reality.

I love the way they discuss their passions, the love for their families, and their hopes to attend a university and achieve their dreams.

Everyday is a new adventure where I have the opportunity to know them more and help them achieve their dreams and goals. My scholars are one of a kind, they are cultivating their academic dreams day by day.

My Project

My students struggle to find a book that they can connect to. Daily, I learn something new from them which helps me find books that they'll love. These books will resonate with many of my students.

Our classroom library is slowly growing and each time a book hits the shelves, they are intrigued and exited to find which new book has arrived.

Growing up in a small community, my students need exposure to the stories that these books have to share. My students are bright and will conquer their dreams by being exposed to literature that will shape who they are.
