Cultivating Lifelong Readers

My students need a collection of rich reading material, a rhyming game, a book organizer, and 20 blank hardcover books to foster a love for reading and writing!

My Students

Do you remember the excitement of reading or writing your first book? My students are becoming voracious readers and need exciting books to practice the strategies they're learning.

My voracious second grade students live in a small rural community.

The community is so small that it doesn't even have a grocery store! Likewise, the school budget is limited, and therefore we cannot purchase supplies beyond our very basic necessities.

My Project

With fun reading and writing material, we will be able to practice ongoing skills in many fun ways. The "Geronimo Stilton, Pokemon, and Mercy Watson Series" will allow the kids to practice their reading using captivating genres. Many of these books will excite the children to read on. Let's keep their excitement for reading and writing going!
