My Students

My students inspire me every day to be a better teacher. They are fun loving, creative, and full of life. They are ready to learn and see where our daily adventures will take us.

My students are full of energy and they love to learn.

I teach at a Title 1 school in Missouri where all of the students receive free breakfast. About one-third of our school is low income.

My students love to read, work together and move around the room. They thrive on positive reinforcement from me and their classmates. I want to make a difference, not just in their education, but in their lives by challenging them and helping them to become even more successful.

My Project

My second graders LOVE to read. It excites me to watch as they learn and grow in their reading with great books. They finish up their work quickly so they can get back to reading. The book Nate the Great and the Monster Mess will open the students up to a new genre of mystery books.

I want them to have a welcoming and comfy place to read.

I know the students will be even more eager to read when they have rocker chairs to sit in.

These rocker chairs will help us transform our reading area into a comfortable and inviting place for students gather. This will be a great addition to the classroom so the students can have more options to cuddle up with a good book.
