My Students

I teach seventh grade social studies. Each one of my 160 students, from 5 different periods a day, are very special to me. Each of my students have very unique attributes, which is a challenge that I am very glad to accept each day. They are eager to learn about ancient civilizations, are curious, and love hands on activities. They love to play games to review for their quizzes and tests.

My Project

The dry erase boards and markers will help students learn about geography and ancient civilizations in social studies class. They will allow students to easily record answers, while playing their favorite game: Crumple and Throw. Students will use the dry erase boards to write answers to questions about geography and ancient civilizations. It will cut down on wasted paper, as well. The classroom decorations will assist in student learning and help make the learning environment more welcoming and comfortable. Dry erase boards may also be utilized for remote learning, if necessary.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
