My Students

Social studies and science are full of fascinating information and fabulous stories. It would be ideal to have my students use our shared reading time and writing to focus on the amazing curriculum of 5th grade social studies and science.

I have a big class of fantastic fifth graders.

They are hard workers who love learning. The families of my students are very supportive of education and willing to help out in the class or school any way that they can. My students are great kids who deserve great things and will be making big differences in the world.

My Project

The books I am requesting will bridge a gap across the language arts curriculum and the science and social studies curriculum. The books are award winning, recommended books, that help children understand the big ideas in social studies and science. These books will allow them to make connections throughout their learning and solidify the main concepts.

Good literature is a worthy investment.

It can help children love learning for years to come. A book can have a lasting impression or message more powerful than many lessons. I want my students to be life long learners and these books will help them to learn life lessons at a young age that they will never forget.
