Our young men and women are a wonderful bunch of student-athletes that put in countless hours into building their craft. Coming from inner-city it is difficult to carve our time, space and money for this particular sport. But they use every resource they can and they do this year-round. On the course they are courteous, polite, kind and supportive of each other and their opponents. These students put in countless volunteering hours within the community while still keeping up their rigorous academic schedule.
My Project
Cross Country is many times run by individuals but it is always more of a team event. By consistently being able to watch each other, students are able to cheer each other on throughout the meets.
Our students consistently need the ability to train year round as well as compete on the highest level during the season.
The canopies provide the proper shade at events to safely cool down the students. While the exercise bike and calf machine provide much needed tools for their conditioning.
This equipment will give them chances that they never had before to rise to the top level and compete with the best. To work so hard day in and day out, these student athletes fully deserve the chance to feel as great as the work they put in.
