Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in Fort Worth at a school of 700+ students where the majority get free breakfast and lunch. School supplies, uniforms, and weekend food bags are also provided for many of our students.

My students are sweet, caring, and energetic third graders who love learning Math through songs, puzzles, games, and even math literature.

In third grade, multiplication and division are their favorite and they work so hard to master their facts. They love looking for math everywhere in our world and can't wait to tell me all about their daily math encounters.

My Project

I am always looking for ways my students can improve their critical thinking skills. Using everyday objects and popular toys such as Legos, will give them the ability to explore those items in new and exciting ways.

Let's be honest, kids who create develop stronger problem-solving skills and thrive as a student!

They will be able to take their curiosity to the next level by using Science and Math to engineer various projects.

My students will have the opportunity to expand their critical thinking skills by using items such as straws, pipe cleaners, blocks, cups, and so much more in engaging STEM activities.
