My Project
My students are curious and interested in current events and the ties to American history. I want to give them opportunities to learn about the events of the past and relate them to events effecting their lives today.
Reading quality historical fiction is a starting point to deeper learning about that particular era in our history and connecting it to today.
Reading widely among different authors, perspectives and viewpoints within important eras of American history gives students a broader lens and helps in growing understanding of their place in the world.
