My Students

The best teachers teach from the heart, not from the book! My classroom is filled with love, laughter, and learning. I want my students to feel confident in their reading and writing skills, and they will most definitely benefit from this project.

I teach over 80 incredibly amazing students who make me smile and enjoy teaching every single day.

They are funny, caring, intelligent young people who are extremely technologically savvy. Our school is our home away from home. We feel a sense of peace and safety here. We have about 400+ students in our school and some of my students don't have the technology at home to help further their learning. I feel it is very important with kids this day in age that they learn through a variety of ways.

My Project

To further my own growth as a teacher, I am currently in my 15th year of teaching in a new grade level.

My students LOVE to be able to use technology and create student-made projects in the classroom.

I teach 5th ELAR on a high-performing elementary campus. These students are eager to learn new and more challenging things to enhance their growth and imagination.

My vision for the Cricut is varied. Last year, the 5th grade ELAR teacher had the students research colleges and create display boards to present their information to the entire school. I would LOVE to continue that tradition, and by using the Cricut, the students can design college logos and mascots for their display boards. I would also LOVE for my students to be able to illustrate the stories they write using the Cricut. We can also self-publish their writing and make them into books for younger grades!

It is essential that we introduce students to a variety of technology so they can be successful as our future leaders.
