My Students

Students in this area of Utah are really talented. They have supportive parents and great teachers. They are the perfect pool of students for a theatre and music program to thrive. These students have the world at their fingertips but have a lack of performing arts available to them. Sports dominate and yet there are so many students so capable in the arts just lacking the guidance and the leadership.

These students are the future public speakers, world leaders, and movers and shakers of the world.

I hope to be able to guide and direct them to be able to understand the performing arts. Art imitates life and these students have so much life to love!

My Project

Our students have had so many things taken away from them as a result of Covid-19 these past few years. I feel it is time they are given back the opportunity to create some memories in doing their class programs. By using costumes, the students will relate to the people they are representing. They will understand the past and the history they have researched. The past will be brought to life in ways that reading about it never can. These are the things they remember about their elementary years for years to come, why not make them stand out?

Performances have been put on hold so the past two years!

It is time we give back the best performances of their elementary lives. Instruments that add humor, like a gong, and allow everyone to participate in a simple way, like wrist bells, can liven up an otherwise simple class reader's theater into something that puts more learning into the words. We owe this to these students who have missed so much as a result of this pandemic. The bar chime will give the sound of magic, we just have to provide the funding! Let's do this for their creativity.
