Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students learn and excel with the support of visual aids to enhance and deepen their understanding.

Many of my students are English Language Learners with limited English vocabulary.

Additionally, my students are often faced with the challenge of weaker understanding of skills and concepts than that of their peers in other communities due to their lack of vocabulary.

My Project

Due to the limited English of my students, many class lessons, posters, and worksheets are supplemented with visual aids to build and solidify their understanding. Additionally, I often print projects that students generate on the computer. Printing two copies of the project affords me the opportunity to send one home to the parents and keep a sample in the student's work portfolio. Lastly, I often print parent communications using colored ink. These may include monthly newsletters, notices regarding upcoming activities and projects related to our class.

My students need 10 packs of color ink cartridges for the classroom printer.

Ink cartridges will have a tremendous impact on my students. Specifically, they become incredibly motivated and proud when their work is published for others to view. They will be able to add graphics to make their work go from GOOD to OUTSTANDING! I know the sense of pride and accomplishment my students feel when their work is completed to their personal best!
