This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Dramatic Play allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. During open centers times they choose a center in the classroom that is interesting to them. By giving them more interested and more choice of toy like grocery set and marble run they have the opportunity to expand their creativity. Dramatic play in the classroom can help children develop a variety of skills and abilities, including: Social skills, where Children can learn to cooperate, share, and solve problems with their peers. Language skills where Children can practice storytelling, use new vocabulary, and engage in conversation. Creativity and imagination where Children can pretend to be community helpers or explorers, which can help their imaginations soar. Critical thinking where Children can learn to think critically and come up with solutions to problems they encounter while playing. Self-empowerment where Children can make choices, act out their feelings, and explore different dimensions of their personality. Not only that but also Confidence where Children can become less conscious of expressing themselves, which can help boost their confidence.
