Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
At the beginning of each year we ask for supplies so that the students are able to use them throughout the year. Unfortunately most of the students' materials do not last long because of the quality of these materials. We still have art activities that require markers, and I would like to do them with my students. This set will give them an opportunity to create something beautiful that expresses their learning.
My students are moving so much that the chairs are losing their stability.
These wobble stools would be for the specific students that are having trouble with their chairs. They need movement while they learn, and these wobble chairs will provide that for them. This will also reduce the movement of so many chairs around the room when the students go from one center to another.
I would love to provide more hands-on activities for my students with the Teachers Pay Teachers gift card. As much as I would like to create some of these activities, I just do not have the time and there are teachers who have already created the resources. This will help me also differentiate work for my students.
Finally, the other items will help the students stay more organized when we have activities. The magnetic strip will help them hang the materials that pertain to that center. The snacks will help them with their afternoon hunger, as they eat early in the day. I don't want them to be going home with hunger.
