This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I work with a bunch a wonderful kindergarten and 1st-grade children who live in a high poverty/low-income area. They also have some emotional and behavioral needs.
My students love coming to school even on a hard day.
I want to be able to provide them with smiles that way they can learn and grow.
They deserve to be happy and be able to learn in a fun and loving environment. I want them to be able to do whatever they want in life and the only way they can do that is to have what they need to make it.
My Project
As the weather gets warmer and the kids get to go outside and play they need the water to stay hydrated. My students are very active and always ask for water. We cannot use the water fountains due to COVID.
As the year winds down my class wants to do fun projects!
We need construction paper and glue for these projects. As my class prepares for graduation they want to show their families and each other what they have learned this year. Construction paper is extremely useful because the students will be able to make different shapes and they can use the glue sticks to put it together.
