Creative Programming with Microbits

My Project

This school year CPS launched a Computer Science pilot program to teach programming to 8th graders. For the past few months, my students have been learning the basics of computer science: digital citizenship, keyboard skills as well as block programming to better prepare them for this tech savvy world.

Design thinking is our focus and with these extension kits, my students will be able to take their programming skills to the next level by expanding their knowledge of what microbits can do and incorporating movement into their very creative designs.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
