My Project

I am asking for a Cricut machine so I can make any abstract math concept more concrete. A Cricut would allow me to make puzzles, games, shapes, labels and more that will help students succeed in Math. I will be able to construct and duplicate items of meaning for students to use. For instance, story problems are always difficult for struggling learners. I can make "butterflies" out of paper and then write several story problems about butterflies. The students can then use the paper butterflies to solve the math story problems. At this concrete level, it greatly helps students to be able to see and relate to the math problem. I could even create centers for the students to be able to independently practice and manipulate these math problems.

Struggling learners need a hands-on approach to help them see and understand a math concept.

A Cricut would give me an opportunity to adapt any math problem to their level.
