Help me give my students fun creative movement activities to perform with for our music time.

My Project

I have multiple children that struggle to stand for any length of time so having hand held scarves, ribbons, and the stretchy band will allow them to participate with the other children. For the children that can stand, it will give them creative outlet to move to the music how ever they feel.

My main goal is to allow my children to have more opportunities to have free movement using music as their guide.

I will also use guided movements to increase there hand eye coordination, following simple directions with simple and fun movements, and help teach rhythm with fun movement.

My kids come from a primarily low income area. I have multiple children that are non-verbal. Many of my kids have never experienced being able to move freely with scarves, or ribbons, watching the colors of the scarves or ribbons flowing in front of them. I want to help them experience what it is like to be able to move freely and watch colorful ribbons and scarves flow about the room.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
