My Students

What teacher doesn't want to engage their students? Our class is comprised of energetic, thoughtful, creative students who love to learn. They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! Many times, they do work on their computer and need to print it out, or they want to express their ideas through charting. With that in mind, my project is to provide each student with everyday school supplies, such as chart paper, chart markers, Expo markers, and pens to ensure they have flexible ways to show their work in a creative manner. In addition, my students like to move around the classroom, work with different groups, and feel relaxed. With flexible seating, students can feel comfortable while they actively work on the day's tasks. My students come to school each day ready to try new things. Why not give them more opportunities to be creative!!

Our class is full of collaboration, exploring new concepts, and trying new strategies.

The goal in our ELA class is to keep my students eager to learn as they transition to middle school and beyond. Eager learners grow into successful adults!

My Project

I am lucky enough to teach 100 wonderful students. What makes the job of a teacher so challenging is that each of these students learns differently, behaves differently, has a different level of comfort in class, and has different challenges and goals. My students have different interests and are engaged by different things.

Reading and writing should be fun, therefore, every lesson in my class is designed to be engaging and interactive.

Supplies to keep these lessons engaging go fast, therefore more is needed.

By allowing students to use flexible seating, in addition to using chart paper, colored paper and markers during the lesson, students become excited to enter the classroom! They look forward to what exciting protocol we will be trying with each, new day.
