Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Classroom arts and crafts projects bring joy and excitement to young learners. We need supplies to help us create spectacular works of art and creative craft projects beyond the basics our school provides.
My students are an enthusiastic group of second graders who love learning.
Our school is a small neighborhood school within a large unified school district. A variety of ethnic backgrounds are represented and most students are considered economically disadvantaged. Although my students are bright, eager, and excited about learning, we do not always have the funds to purchase extra curricular materials. Donors choose has been a great support.
My Project
The materials I am requesting will provide students with opportunities to create spectacular arts and crafts projects. Although we create many projects with the limited resources we have, having Color Diffusing Paper and Glitter Liquid Watercolors will really add sparkle and excitement to our projects. Using the Metallic Markers will add the finishing touches to our projects to really make them stand out. My students don't usually have opportunities to use such high quality and extra special art materials. The items I am requesting will give them that opportunity and add high levels of motivation and appreciation for arts curriculum.
Arts curriculum has been thoroughly researched to show its importance in education.
Our school is currently applying to become an arts magnet, so it is imperative that we have the right materials to inspire and allow students to truly create to their fullest potential. These materials will help them to do that.
