Creative Arts in Pre-K

Help me give my students colored pencils, watercolor paper, dot paint, paint, velcro, play dogh and masking tape.

My Project

One of the favorite learning centers in my pre-k classroom is the creativity center, where students use a variety of materials to create based on the theme that we are studying. The play dough not only sparks creativity, but strengthens their fine motor skills. Colored pencils are a favorite tool for my students to use in their journals as they write and draw all year long. Tape and velcro help us display their artwork in the hallway and in the classroom.

Having a variety of paint colors, including skin tones, will allow my students to create self portraits throughout the year, which is a wonderful way to see their skills develop and grow.
