My artists are amazing kids who are talented, creative, and thoughtful. Recently though, I've noticed that their self-confidence in their abilities isn't what it normally is. As an art teacher, my primary goal is to teach my students that they are capable of expressing themselves through art, and give them a variety of means to do so.
The art room should be a place where every student feels that they have a voice, their feelings are respected, and they can all succeed.
This year, my fellow art teacher and I want to transport our artists to the fun, fluorescent, phenomenal 1990's! Our goal is to bring the vibrant and playful 90's style into the art room, utilizing artist history and culture to teach our students that they are capable of anything and everything they want to make in art class and anything and everything they want to do in life!
To accomplish this though, we need a little help. We are in need of materials to make our 1990's art room come alive! Our students are so deserving; deserving of the very best tools and deserving of an amazing art class experience! Thank you!
