I am a high school art teacher for grades 7-12. My students and I reside in a very rural, remote area. We are not provided with many options as far as art museums or art studios.
I have been blessed with so many talented students, of a variety of cultural backgrounds.
These students range from special needs to advanced artists. The cultural and economic backgrounds range within Hispanic to Caucasian. We are a Title I school, meaning, most to all of my students come from low income homes.
My Project
These supplies are a necessity to provide meaningful art experiences to a wide variety of learners. Items such as the Sharpies and tape are supplies we use just about every day. The linoleum and the ink are going to be used for an exciting printing project, where the students comprise their own logo. The chalk and the black paper are going to be used for reverse shading in an observational drawing. To get these supplies would be a tremendous relief. We are a rural country school, with limited funding. Thank you!
