I have a small CARPETED classroom... yes, that is right, carpet... in a primary school. Carpet is known to house multiple allergens. We also live is a country community, so there are lots of environmental allergens as well. With 20 plus First Graders in a small carpeted room, it is very difficult to keep surfaces sanitized. I try to use all natural cleaning products I have made myself, from essential oils. This helps, but I feel a diffuser with essential oils and an air purifier would be a great asset in my fight against classroom borne illnesses. I have several students every year, who miss school due to being ill. Sometimes parents are forced to send sick children to school, in order to go to work. I also find myself catching colds and other illnesses brought to into the classroom. I have the same air purifier and diffuser at my house, and they work wonders at improving the air quality. However, with three children, two of which attend daycare, I can not afford to purchase such luxuries for my classroom.
