Creating the Life Cycles of Nature!

Help me give my students the experince of natures life cycles. We will be growing plants, watching the lifecycle of the butterfly and seeing how our food waste turns to dirt for our flower garden with our composter.

My Project

In our class we are learning about the many life cycles in nature. My students are excited life science and nature. For our Earth Day project we are about plants and how they impact the environment. We have recently learned about the life cycle of butterflies and I would love a hands on experience of the butterfly kit to go with that lesson.

Bringing all of the elements of life and nature together to show how each person, plant, and animal are connected.

We will take the scraps from our food, and I talked to maintenance about the yard waste to compost.The composter will make this process easier. We will also be planting a butterfly garden to attract pollinators. The students will all plant herbs in individual containers to care for and grow all year.

This will show how each of us doing our part brings life back to nature. By composting we create new soil to grow healthy plants. The plants feed the pollinators and they help new plants, fruits, and vegetables grow. Each area has its own life cycle and one thing connects to another. Students will be keeping journals and documenting everything.

This exciting hands on project will give young students a memorable hands on and life long learning experience.
