In our classroom, hands on learning is vital. Students become more invested in their learning when it is fun and feels like play. The Touch and Read CVC center, Sound Switch Learning center the Write the Letter activity, will help my students with reading. The Class Set Ten Frame and the Math Match Up are great for hands on math stations. Providing activities like these help students not just learn, but build confidence, because they are completing the work without the assistance of a teacher. Hands on learning during center time creates a space for students to strengthen academic skills and to use the social emotional skills that are needed for a lifetime. Each math and literacy center will benefit all learners.
