Help me give my students options to increase our space and mobility in the classroom with low tables that will allow them to work in small groups and surf seats that will allow independent work completion in comfort.
My students are the best in the world! They are full of energy, expect hands on engaging learning experiences. The world of educating in rows of desks has met its end. Unfortunately, my school district does not have the finances to help us make this change. We are a high poverty school with all students receiving free breakfast and lunch. My students care deeply and crave to be educated. With the restraints of desks, many students just cannot thrive to their fullest potential.
My Project
With a class size as large as 30 or more students next year, this will help my students to function more efficiently in the classroom, learning how they are most comfortable whether that be in an individual seat, at a low table or at a traditional desk.
Some students do not learn in desks well and allowing other seating choices would be beneficial.
With many options, all student's needs could be met. My hope is to get my larger items supplied so I can afford to fill in with pillows, rugs, etc on my own.
Please help me help my kiddos for years to come to learn in the best possible learning environment.
