My Students
My students come from a multitude of different backgrounds. I service students in first, third, and fourth grade. About 75% of our students come from low-income households, but their circumstances do not define them.
They have some deeply creative spirits, which is why many of them chose to come to an arts integrated, project-based school.
They are full of life and wonder. They are phenomenal. Which is why I want them to have the best education possible while taking care of their whole being.
My Project
These materials will help my students be able to access their reading material in a more efficient way. The crates will be used to organize our guided reading books so that we can spend more time learning and less time looking for materials. The books will expand our recreational reading library so that students can continue to grow their love of reading and learning. These items will help encourage a group of students that struggle with reading and writing to become excited about their growth as readers. These materials will help enhance the learning experience of my students and encourage them to continue to persevere.
