Creating Our Own Lunar New Year Parade

My Project

Each year at our school, I lead all three kinder classes in creating our very own Lunar New Year Parade. After reading a few books to teach them all about Lunar New Year, the kiddos engage in making rattle drums, streamer sticks, and even dragon and lion puppets to wear.

It is so important to make sure as educators that we are celebrating the beautiful cultures of all the precious students represented in our classrooms, and Lunar New Year is a wonderful time to shine a light on our Asian students!
