My Students

In our first grade classroom, we are excited to learn and enjoy hands-on activities to expand our knowledge. Our goal is to create fun activities to enhance our math time.

My students are active first graders who love to play to learn.

We currently have 17 students in the class with a variety of levels when it comes to math. We live on a small island in Alaska. Our school is the largest elementary school on the island.

My Project

My students need Magic Boards, math concepts practice cards and math learning centers to enhance their math skills through hands-on learning. They will use the variety of math centers to enhance their learning. Most first graders learn best through playing and experiencing. These quick centers that students can grab and do independently or with a buddy will help students practice math concepts such as money, time, geometry, and so much more!

Donations to this project will help students become more successful mathematicians, but more importantly, they will have fun learning about math.

My goal is for students to meet the learning objectives in math for first grade in a fun, hands-on experience.
