Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This is my very first year teaching, and I was hired to pull small groups in Kindergarten and First Grade to target phonological awareness and phonics. My goal for the remainder of the school year is to get these little ones reading confidently and often!

I am a firm believer of game-based learning and I think introducing these reading games into my classroom will help foster engagement among the littlest of learners.

I also value the importance of consistency and hands-on learning, especially among Kindergarteners and First Graders. Students need to be active participants in their learning, and I vow to practice that principle in my classroom!
