My Project

My preschool classroom is full of amazing 4-year-olds who are learning how to be Kindergarteners. They come to school every day, enthusiastic to learn, though many of them have traumatic life experiences and challenging home lives. Help me create a space for them to learn and practice mindfulness and emotional intelligence. Managing emotions is a major life skill that many students in my classroom need a great deal of help with to be successful in Kindergarten and beyond.

This project includes soft lighting, flexible seating options, stuffed animals and growing a classroom garden, to name a few items!

Creating a space for these incredible, resilient little people to feel safe and comfortable is the first step towards emotional mindfulness and building emotional intelligence, life skills necessary for success in school and life.
