This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have been teaching for 13 years and a majority of those years have been at the same district I graduated from. I love my community! For me, my district is home. My students come from all walks of life but the commonality is their love of reading. My campus does such a great job of instilling the love of literature.

I get so excited when I have the opportunity to introduce my students to their new favorite book!

Our reading block is the most exciting part of our school day. Every day is a new adventure, a new chapter, and an opportunity for their love of the written word to grow.

My Project

My project will help to ensure my students are introduced to books they will love! Reading time is a big deal in our classroom. My students look forward to our read alouds at the carpet everyday. With your help I can ensure that we all read, not just me.

Help me put a book in each student's lap!

With the funding for my project I know that my students will have full engagement. They will be able to not only listen to others read from the book, but also follow along with their own copy! Please help if you can!
