I teach 23 fourth graders in a Title I school in Greenville, South Carolina. My students spend the year diving into understanding what it means to be a leader. From collaborating in math and making text-to-self connections in reading to playing at recess my students push themselves to show model good leadership.
My students love to play soccer and basketball, solve riddles, write stories, and have incredible imaginations.
I look forward to greeting them at the door each morning and watching them work hard each day!
My Project
These items will create a welcoming space that showcases books and encourages students to stop and read. By utilizing materials to both display books and provide students a welcoming space to read, the classroom library will feel more welcoming and less overwhelming.
By creating a classroom library that displays book titles in a way that welcomes readers my students will feel more at ease when browsing for the perfect book!
A comfortable, organized classroom library will encourage my students to step out of their comfort zones and explore various genres of texts while getting lost in the magic of reading a great book!
