This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A lot of of learning and playing takes place in our classroom rug. This is a space where we all get together as a class and grow and learn. My goal is to create a safe and comfortable space that fosters their growth, development, and overall well-being.

One crucial component we are seeking is to acquire a replacement rug for our students as the current one is already very worn out.

Rugs serve as more than just decorative pieces, they provide essential benefits for my students. Many special needs students benefit from tactile stimulation. A rug with various textures and patterns can engage their senses and promote this. In addition, they also provide them with a visual organization, and it helps the student understand and navigate their learning environment more efficiently.

I believe that providing my students with a rug can create an inclusive and supportive classroom that facilitates their educational journey.
