Creating Connections and Building Empathy - Baby Doll Circle Time!
Help me give my students each a baby doll to use with a curriculum that provides lessons designed to support executive skills including attention, self-regulation, impulse control, and initiative and the teaching of language and cognitive skills.
I have the best job in the world teaching amazing pre-K students with special needs! These preschoolers enter the classroom ready to learn, discover, and explore. I strive to provide them with a safe environment in which they feel valued, respected, and loved. The need of each child is to be allowed to explore and investigate the world that surrounds them as they learn and gain new understandings and skills every day.
Circle time is one of the favorite times of day for these children as it gives an opportunity to connect with each other, learn important social skills as well as pre-academic skills.
They love to learn new things!
My Project
Children require one-on-one connections to thrive. Baby Doll Circle Time is a brain researched curriculum that helps provide these necessary connections. I have seen first hand how amazing and powerful this curriculum works to strengthen connections and language with children of all abilities and cultures!

Students will be able to develop and strengthen
attunement, self-regulation, managing separation anxiety, calming, cooperation, language, one-on-one time, and social play.
Self regulation and building strong social emotional skills in a safe and nurturing learning environment is crucial for healthy growth in our early childhood program. We value that growth process greatly and have dedicated ourselves to providing every child in our classroom the opportunity to develop in healthy ways.
