This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are a wonderful, energetic group of first, second, and third graders who fall in love with learning when engaged with the right materials and a comforting environment.

I strive to create a safe place in our classroom where all are welcomed and encouraged to develop independence.

Each of my students brings something unique to the classroom so it is important to facilitate a differentiated classroom. My students love to read multi-level books, play literacy games, as well as create projects through research.

My Project

These materials will help us to remain engaged in the last months of school as well as kick start our school year next fall. We have been having morning meetings for a while now but the book of morning meeting games and the new rug with social skills books will help our meeting stay on track and enhance them by giving them more purpose. The art supplies would give us something to look forward to each week as we end this school year. We would love to do fun arts and crafts projects for the upcoming holidays as well as take home projects to remember the awesome school year we have had!
