My Students

I teach in a rural district. My school is 60% free and reduced lunch. I teach over 430 students of fourth and fifth graders. My school has a STEAM program that started 2 years ago. My students are very enthusiastic about learning through hands on activities. I want to combine science and art by having the students sculpt an animal and create a habitat.

My Project

This project will make a huge difference to my fifth grade students. Without your donations, my students would not be able to have these learning experiences. Hands-on learning is the best way to engage the students and allow them to use their creativity and imagination while learning about science and art.

The clay will allow them to sculpt a realistic animal they choose.

Then they can paint it and build a habitat to display it. This project will give my students the opportunity to learn about animals and their habitats in a fun and creative way.
