Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Making the jump from 5th grade to Middle School is hard. I teach 4 periods of 6th graders, 1 period of 7th and 8th grade ELA support, and 1 period of 7th graders.
The main focus in our classroom is inspiring a love for reading.
As a first year middle school teacher I want my students to know about the variety of books the world has to offer and how important reading is in relation to their success.
My students are motivated, curious, engaged, and ready to be successful in middle school and everything else that lies ahead!
My Project
The requested classroom posters, calendars, and framed photos will liven up the classroom and make it a place that students will want to walk into each day. The Ralph Waldo Emerson quote-poster will be such a wonderful reminder for students to cut themselves a break and cultivate a positive culture.
In line with creating a homier classroom, the requested organizational supplies like the wall calendar and file organizer will help us all work together to keep track of assignments, events, and be on top of our work.
The literary quotes and posters will give my students something to think about while also giving them a frame of reference for more positive and insightful thoughts.
Students deserve a classroom in which they feel inspired everyday and I would love to give them just that.
