Our school is considered a Title I school. Many of the children live in low-income housing, hotels, and some are even in shelters. For some, English is their second language and some have experienced traumatic experiences that most of us can hardly comprehend. Some have special needs and each and every student at our school qualifies for free breakfast and free lunch. With that being said, they all love to come to school and want to learn. They deserve all the resources we can give them.
My amazing students are funny, smart, sweet, little 5- and 6-year-old children who come to school every day, craving knowledge.
These kiddos come in the door ready to learn and have fun. They will laugh, cry, hug, giggle, play, and learn all in one place: their classroom. Therefore, I am eager and ready to help each of them achieve their dreams.
My Project
Throughout the year, actually every single day, my students enjoy working with colorful printed activities in both math and/or literacy. I am requesting an abundance of cardstock and ink to help make this a possibility! With the recent holiday activities, our cardstock and ink are completely depleted yet there are many more months of fun and learning to go!
However, the problem is that if we want it in color it has to be printed using the classroom printer and ink is an expensive necessity!
While my students do very few worksheets, we do many, many games and activities and heavy duty paper and color is obviously more attractive to them. Thank you for helping my kiddos enjoy a colorful year!
