My students need leather art materials to create holiday projects. Also, these projects align with third grade Social Studies Standards: Native Americans.
Do you still have an art project made by your son or daughter when they were in elementary school? I would like to make this experience come true for my students and their parents.
I teach second/third grade in a Southern California Elementary School.
Most of my students are children of military enlisted. Most have moved one or more times and had their education disrupted due to military transfers. Many are second language learners that need extra support. With budget cuts these past years, there has been no money for teachers to purchase any art supplies.
My Project
Who wouldn't remember the unique art project done when we were in elementary? Your donation may impact my children's school experience, and their parents as well. With your donation my class can create beautiful key chains for Father's Day. Also, lovely leather bracelets for Mother's Day. Furthermore, it goes hand in hand with Social Studies Native Americans. Creating art while learning is a priceless experience for students. My son made a leather key chain when he was in second grade. Now, he is in his third year of college. My husband has changed cars through all these years, the cars, the keys and model cars has changed, but the only thing that remains is the leather key chain made by our son. My husband would never change it for anything. This is the kind of art the lasts a lifetime.
I am positive that the future projects can become a reality with your support.
It is important to create experiences that can last a life time. Your donation can mark the memorable moment in the life of children who have limited opportunities in life.
