Creating an Exciting Special Education Environment

Help me give my students some classroom necessities they need to be successful. This includes a Rossetta Star Projector, a laminator, markers, and more.

My Project

My students come from a variety of cultures and backgrounds in an urban neighborhood. They attend an alternative education program designed for students in elementary and middle school who struggle in a regular school setting for various reasons.

My students deserve to feel proud, believed in, and that they are able to achieve something wonderful.

Some of my students struggle with a range of learning disabilities and emotional disorders and some lack a stable home life. Even with the external stress that surrounds them on a daily basis, they remain hardworking, talented, and driven.

This project will help create an engaging and calming classroom as well as add some high frequency basic classroom supplies for students entering our school program. The requested materials such as scissors, Sharpies and laminating pouches are necessary materials that we routinely run out of and greatly benefit the students. The different lighting for the classroom will help create a calming and relaxing classroom to help with student mood regulation.
