My Project

Our school library is the heart of learning — a welcoming space where students explore, imagine, and discover. Every day, curious readers visit to get lost in a fantasy adventure, solve a science mystery, or dive into a favorite graphic novel.

Our library serves students of all abilities and reading levels, and many benefit from additional support when locating and returning books independently.

A well-organized, accessible collection helps students feel confident and successful as they navigate the shelves on their own.

To support this independence, we need shelf adapters that sit behind books and keep them upright, visible, and easy to reach. These simple tools make a meaningful difference by preventing books from sliding backward or becoming hidden, while maintaining neat, browsable shelves.

With these adapters, students will be able to clearly see book titles, safely reach materials, and return items to the correct location. This creates a more inviting browsing experience for all readers — especially those who struggle with organization or who face mobility or vision challenges.

These items will transform our shelves into student-friendly, accessible spaces that promote confidence and independence. When students can easily find and access books, they are far more likely to read — and develop a lifelong love of reading.

While shelf adapters may seem like a small addition, their impact on daily library use will be significant. This project supports literacy, inclusion, and independence by helping every student successfully navigate and enjoy our growing library collection.
