Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Many students that attend this school come from low socioeconomic homes. A majority of students receive free or reduced meals. A large number of students are second language learners. Our students come to school eager and ready to learn.
Students need to be provided with an opportunity to create beautiful works of art while learning about shapes and colors.
Students will explore primary and secondary colors and learn about the color wheel as the create unique masterpieces. Let’s create a colorful world!
My Project
Kindergarten students will be given an opportunity to learn about primary and secondary colors. They will also learn about warm and cool colors. Students will be given instructions and will explore and create their own individual masterpieces. For many, this will be their first time using watercolors. It will also help to develop fine motor skills. Students will be able to use their abilities to create freely their interpretations of the world. This will be a very exciting experience for them. Thank you for helping to create a world of color for these lucky Kindergartens! Your support helps to make a difference.
