Creating A Successful Enviornment Using Flexible Seating

My students need options for flexible seating and these wobble chairs will be great for students who need a little movement to learn.

In a Title I school where over 50% of the population is on the free and reduced lunch program, students come into my classroom daily ready to learn, work hard, and collaborate with their peers.

We are currently on collaboration, communication, critical thinking and creativity. I currently have a group of 24 hardworking fourth graders that show up excited each and every day to learn and explore new material.

My Project

When walking into my classroom, I would like the students to feel comfortable to find a seat around the room that would best help them learn that day. Students need to have connections to the curriculum and I feel as though if they get the choice in how they learn best, they will be successful with their academics. Many students don't learn best by sitting in one spot the entire day. This will give more options and opportunities to learn while being comfortable. These stools will help students stay focused and on task while being able to incorporate movement.

The donations made to this project will help my students realize how they learn best and what seating choices help them be effective when working alone or in groups.

These stools will help students stay focused and attentive. Students who have more involvement in their learning are also successful in the classroom setting. Having the choice in where to sit around the room will increase student engagement in all academic areas.
